Northland Natural Horsemanship Games

On Easter Sunday 2012, the Northland Natural Horsemanship Games are back!

After last year’s exciting and overwhelming success we are doing it again! Inspiring, challenging, educational and entertaining fun with horses. These Natural Horsemanship Games were a world first in 2011, when 35 contestants had a great day, watched by over a thousand spectators.

The NHG is an all inclusive games with fun, challenging and very different competitive games. Each of the games are run at 3 different skill levels, so everyone can find a level to suit them and their horse.

There are ribbons to be won by anyone who demonstrates they are putting the relationship with their horse first and the judges can see that their horse is a willing participant in each game.

Highlights during the day are the showcasing by advanced students playing with their horses to music, and inspirational demos by Russell Higgins a 4* Parelli Professional and Jane Cook Parelli Professional.

There will be stalls and exhibits as well.

The Games Booklet, which describes each game in detail, and your Enrolment Form are available now for free download from our website.

The Games Practice Cards give you great tips for succeeding in all the games and they are available now for purchase from our website and from Trade Me for $12. As a prospective contestant you can take these convenient laminated cards in your pocket when you and your horse are practicing for the games.

Earlybird Enrolment (prior to 30 March 2012) is only $25 for a whole day of fun with your horse.
