We will be mainly centred in St Joseph for this tasting with the exception of two wines from Vienne. St-Joseph is situated smack bang in between Cote Rotie and Cornas. It is one of the less significant appellations of the Northern Rhone, but there are some excellent wines produced here, and they can offer great value.

The other two wines that we try also 100% Syrah are from Vienne an ancient site that was developed by Pierre Gaillard, Yves Cuilleron and Francois Villard under their label Les Vins de Vienne.
