Slalom racing is high speed, down wind windsurfer racing. Boards are designed for straightout straight line speed down a zig zag course at speeds in excess of 50-60kph. Freeride boards are based on the slalom board design but modified for easier handling and turning. This event is suitable for anyone who can windsurf planing and complete some gybes - an excellent way to improve your sailing!
This event is now confirmed on the day before the WWA Harbour Blast, a downwind race between Petone and Eastbourne on Wellington Harbour (race direction depends on wind direction).
