Horowhenua District Rose Society will be hosting the New Zealand National Spring Rose Show "For Love of Roses".
Registrants from all over New Zealand, from Invercargill to Whangarei, will be exhibiting their roses at this annual National Show.
There are 45 classes, which will include hybrid teas, floribundas and miniature, NZ raised seedling bloom roses. The host society has nominated 15 classes which include "Allsorts" sponsored by RJ's Licorice, "A Christmas Centre piece", "Grandmother's Vase"and more. For Miniature roses "A Teapot of Roses", "Cracker Christmas", "Pretty in Pink" and more. There is also a class for "Horowhenua Community Rose" - one fully open bloom of 'Peace'
A schedule of the classes is on www.nzroses.org.nz and although the medal classes are restricted to members of the NZ Rose Society, all remaining classes are open to all exhibitors. Contact your local rose society for more info.
