"What stands out in this show is the incredible musicianship and sense of rhythm of the performer, and the huge amount of fun he and his audience are sharing. - Final Word: Aaaaawesome!" - Rip it Up Australia.
"Adam Page is what Fringe shows are all about... unexpected, quirky, clever and entertaining." - Adelaide Theatre Guide
Experience the unexpected! Critically acclaimed multi-instrumentalist Australian Adam Page brings his innovative 'one man-many instruments' show to the Festival.
Looping and mixing live the sounds from his saxophone with bass, keys, percussion, vocals, Tuvan throat singing, beat boxing, guitar, banjo, flute, clarinet, kalimba (African thumb piano), didgeridoo and nose flute in styles ranging from funk, tango and Punjabi to classical, jazz and afrobeat.
This show won awards at the Adelaide and New Zealand Fringe Festivals and was seen at a 24 night season at the 2008 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Big Day Out and WOMADELAIDE. Don't be fooled, Page is a graduate from the Music Conservatory in Adelaide and composed works with NZ composer John Psathas, a 'serious' musician.
Page's show is fun, infectious and most of all great music. Buckle up and hang on for a wild musical ride.
