Muthtamil Sangam, an incorporated society - a base for Tamil speaking people of Auckland are celebrating the harvest festival (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thai_Pongal) of TamilNadu.
The event is a gathering of family & friends coming together to celebrate the Pongal function by watching some cultural entertainment followed by a subsidised simple traditional vegetarian South Indian food at a cost of $3/person.
