The night they tried to kill Christmas (well what else is there to do in Waiuku?).
Looking for something different to celebrate Christmas? Oh boy - only 24 days to go.
Angell Productions by arrangement with the Glenbrook Vintage Railway invites you to an evening of complaining santas, sad fairies(who really wants to spend Christmas in such a vulunerable treetop position?) and Women's rights (Mrs Claus has just had enough of doing everything every Christmas Eve while he goes out drinking and feasting).
Meanwhile the elves have turned green and are trying to save the Christmas trees and have realised they are entitled to overtime, the reindeer have joined the SPCA, Mrs Claus is so tired of Santa Claus taking off everychristmas Eve and leaving her to wrap the presents, trim the tree, stuff the turkey, you name it she does it. All excellent reasons to stage a little murder.
Tickets $65 per person includes 2 course dinner, train ride and a few fairies, elves and santas all with a wish to end the festive season in their own way.
Excellent way to celebrate corporate evenings, birthday and anniversary celebrations - especailly those who feel Christmas just isn't what it used to be.
Guests arrive at the Waiuku Cosmopolitan Club in Waiuku for a special Christmas celebratory dinner. Then we go to the Victoria St Station for a ride on the Glenbrook Steam Train to Glenbrook, where a little murder is committed with dessert. Back to the venue for the deduction of the crime.
Grab your best 1912 attire and prepare for an excellent evening with twists, kerfuffles, chaos and mayhem.
Show starts at 6:30pm if Polly and Tinkerbelle can decide on the appropriate dress for the occasion. Dinner starts at 7 providing Bertie has shelled the nuts for the nut roast with cranberry sauce - just joking we hope.
Ticket includes dinner, train ride and show. Free parking is available at the venue.
Tickets available - $65 per person.
Information and clues are being announced as they come in.
Waiuku is a 40-minute drive from the heart of Auckland, a wonderful day's outing for people of all ages. Accommodation is available for those who would like to spend a little more time exploring the beautiful Awhitu and Franklin area.
Recommend bringing a coat or stole and maybe an umbrella if it looks like rain (it is Christmas after all - there is a short walk to the train.
