Body harmony movement ritual with Louise Taylor.
Come share in this wonderful somatic movement practise to release stress and tension, strengthen, open, restore, integrate & replenish your energy.
Open to any level of skill and designed to be nurturing and fun!
Anna Halprin’s Movement Ritual is a body-mind-sensory approach that offers participants new ways of releasing tension and restoring balance.
Movement Ritual is a series of simple natural movements intended to inspire and encourage you to develop your own daily movement ritual, & move in ways that feel good for your body.
Natural movement, so it feels natural to do them, at the same time builds a strong & flexible body, and extends one's range of movement.
Movement Ritual is a wonderful way to warm up to dance, as a foundation for creative movement explorations, and as a daily movement practise.
Open to any level of skill and designed to be nurturing and fun!
Wear loose, comfortable, layered clothing.
“Imagine how alive you would be if your kinaesthetic sense were to be heightened and cultivated beyond its present consciousness.” –Anna Halprin
Louise Taylor BFA, DCM, certified massage therapist, visual artist and movement based expressive arts educator. She trained at the Tamalpa Institute, first and world renowned school for Movement based Expressive Arts Therapy and education, located in Kentfield, California with founders Anna and Daria Halprin, and G Hoffman Soto, pioneers in the field of avant garde dance and expressive arts therapy (www.tamalpa.org).
Louise teaches the Tamalpa Life/Art Process®, an integrated approach to revitalise the self physically, emotionally and imaginatively. The Life/Art approach integrates a variety of art mediums, such as drawing, writing, and dialogue to reveal what is hidden and longing to come out.
She leads studio classes for adults and young people and private sessions in a variety of settings, with children, retreats in nature and in addiction rehab. She draws on integrative therapies with the intention to gather self awareness and new resources for health, harmony and personal growth. She believes embodied movement is a key, to learn about ones own body and how to remain open and flexible.
