After five years and counting as the resident nine-piece Motown band at Rakinos on Auckland's High Street Motor City Family Funk are finally hitting the road in March to bring their sharp suits and sharp tunes to Mighty Mighty on Wellington's Cuba Street.
Boasting a three-piece vocal frontline, a coupla' horns and a repertoire of all your favourite Motown tunes Motor City Family Funk promise you a bangin' good time.
Wellington's hard-working vocal stalwart Nikita Tu-Bryant has come to the party with her group Amalgamatez! who indulge in atmospheric funk, soul and hip-hop stylings based around a revolving cast of her talented buddies and are more than worthy of complete capitalisation and an exclamation mark.
Doors at 9pm, Amalgamatez! at 10pm and Motor City Family Funk lay it down from 11pm.
