A great chance to meet that Mr/Miss Right, or new friends. Come down have a drink, chat, meet a few people & forget about the week.

You have to be single and open to dating. Stay as little or long as you want. Don't bring any expectations - life is what you make it.

Approx 200+ people attend each night. Bring single friends/co-workers along if you like. You can go upstairs to talk/have dinner as well. They do food specials, and cocktail specials. The age range varies, and every night is a bit different, the place fills up about 7. and the event goes late.

The best bit is this is free - other than the drinks/food you buy. Remember it is a dating event so put your best foot forward.

We have a private area booked downstairs - look for the sign saying Central City 6.00 Club. The events are last Friday each month & a Friday mid-month (around the 10th/13th of the month). A few nibbles are put on.

The Horse and Trap has a load of parking available and is a handy central venue. There is also the bus and train close by.

By the way, this is not my job. I am not employed by the bar. I just thought it was a great idea to have somewhere you can meet people and not have to pay some kind of fee to do so - my only agenda is that I am a mid 40s single girl - looking for a single guy.

By the way everyone - since it is Xmas, you may like to donate something to charity's I like - if you have enjoyed coming through the year. A foodbank, Dress for Success, the animal sanctuary matakana, Since we all get to have a great night at limited cost :) A bit of giving back may be nice. And there is apparently a dj on the 14 dec

Will be continuing the nights next year, every couple of weeks, check here for dates. The bar is putting on some treats for Xmas on the 14th December event, and next year we will have the odd night with Dj's etc :) Remember to ask them what specials they have on, they often have a coctail to try or a dinner/desert special

Once again kudos to you for organizing these events!
Both of the "Last Friday Night of The Month" get togethers that you've organized, and I've attended, have been the best singles events I've been to in New Zealand. Period!
What's particularly good about the events?
1. Heaps of people show up.
2. Relaxed and unstructured environment.
3. Similarly minded people who are looking to finding someone.
4. Very good venue with lots of room.
5. Central location whether coming from north, south, east or west.

So just in time for the end of month drinks... it looks like another couple has been made. I have heard of a few success stories from the event I host.. which is really nice :)
No doubt a ton of hookups too.. (does not want to know)
Anyway you have to be in to win :)
Have no expectaions, make your own fun.. and you never know - you could be part of the next Happily Couple

27th of April was a great night out :) great crowd, loads of people. Having a good time. Bring single friends if you wish. Next one is a SAT - 19th May. All welcome.

There will be a spot prize every event for a bottle of bubbles and they love us so much there will be free platters :) Bring a group of single friends there is LOADS of room.

280 people have their names down for this, so there will be another good turn out - bound to be over 300 again. Good numbers of ages from 25 - 65 See you all Friday at 6. Again over 300 came :)

There has been a huge amount of good feedback from the last event, I gather there has been coffee dates from it, and people have made further plans. If you are nervous do not worry, we can easily find you a group to talk to :) And what have you got to loose :) bring a friend, it is a free night out (well apart from your drinks etc).. with the potential to meet that someone special.
