Miss India Wellington 2013

It’s got glitz and glamour. It’s got Bollywood panache. It’s even got a dash of controversy. The annual Miss IndiaNZ beauty pageant is a stage extravaganza not to be missed. For the past decade some of New Zealand’s most stunning women have strutted their stuff as part of a jaw-dropping show filled with Bollywood music, celebrities and Indian beauties.

Miss India Wellington is a regional contest which provides automatic entry for the winner to Miss IndiaNZ (main contest held in Auckland, 14 Sep 2013).

Organised by leading Bollywood event specialists Rhythm House, the Miss IndiaNZ beauty pageant is a definite highlight on New Zealand’s show calendar. Aimed to promote and enhance local talent in NZ.

Fourteen contestants from the greater Wellington region will participate for the prestigious Miss India Wellington 2013 title. Bollywood inspired dance groups, singers and hosts have lined up an evening full of colourful performances.

Introducing a new concept, the organisers believe that having the first ever Bollywood Talent Quest on the same night will add a different dimension as it opens up opportunities for participants other than beauty queens to wow the audience.

This event is not restricted to Hindi Speaking audience; most of the participants are either born in New Zealand or have spent most of their lives here.
