(Both Mike Ponder and Joy Cowley will be signing books on the opening night - 6:30pm Thursday 31 May).

For over 35 years Mike Ponder has been a powerful force on the NZ art scene. Best known for his iconic Stockman series, which have achieved both NZ and international recognition.

The work is well known and widely respected. He has always painted only with a painting knife, and his bold, yet understated style, has proven to be the inspiration for many artists both in NZ and internationally.

The exhibition will include original works, Giclees, and prints of his work.

Mike is a well respected pioneer of the NZ olive industry, and wrote The Good Oil, a handbook for olive oil growers. He is also a successful author his other books include the novel The Windsor Conspiracy, My Way: A Touch of Red, Oil on Canvas, and Textured Colour (sold out).
