This is the country’s biggest celebration with 65% of the local community attending.

The 11th annual event organised by three mothers Sara Rangi, Michelle Tahuri and Sheree Cotter features a magnificent concert in the Wairoa Community Centre with bands, singers, kapa haka and dancers. The fireworks display on the riverbank will be bigger than ever. Fantastic hot food for sale all night.

This event is funded by Ngati Kahungunu Iwi, Te Puni Kokiri, Creative Communities, Kahungunu Executive, Wairoa Taiwhenua with support from the Wairoa Community Centre.
