Since his inclusion in the American Folk Art Museum's celebrated exhibition Obsessive Drawing in 2005, Martin Thompson's complex drawings, executed line by line with the aid of a self-determined equation, have become increasingly complicated and elaborate.

In this exhibition, the artist's fifth at the Brett McDowell Gallery, he presents five new large works, alongside five early works of his Wellington years.

The exhibition coincides with the publishing and launch of 'Martin Thompson', a sixty seven-page illustrated book of the artists work with essays by Henry Feltham and Stuart Shepherd.
