One of Shakespeare's best-loved comedies, Much Ado About Nothing follows the adventures, misadventures, steps and missteps of two pairs of lovers - the serious Claudio and Hero and the merry (and rather reluctant) Beatrice and Benedick as they head toward the altar. There's deceit, trickery, treachery, clowning, sexual tension and romance aplenty in Manawatu Summer Shakespeare's 10th anniversary offering, which is directed by Amanda McRaven from the US, and plays out in the beautiful setting of the Rose Garden at Palmerston North's Victoria Esplanade.
An established highlight in the city's cultural calendar, 2012's Summer Shakespeare promises to delight.
