Manawatu County Living Expo

A local group of Alpaca Breeders, in conjunction with a group of enthusiastic Highland Cattle Breeders working with the local Feilding IA&P Association are putting on a Country Living Expo to showcase everything involved in owning a small block of land.

We expect to attract 10,000 visitors to our Country Living Expo. We have such a good selection of Trade Sites and lifestyle animals that visitors will travel a long way to come and see what we are doing. Every visitor who comes to the expo will be able to enter a draw to win 2 pet alpacas and as well as go into another draw to win a lovely Highland Weaner. There will also be a draw to win a Dexter animal. There will be the condition that the winners of these animals must have suitable land to keep them on.

We also want all our visitors to have an educational experience and we expect our seminars on a whole range of different topics to be a very big draw card as well. There will also be things for the children to participate in, like colouring, painting and of course take part in walking an Alpaca around the obstacle course.
