Have you ever wondered what makes a film - without any industry backing - the “most talked about film of the decade”?
Have you ever wondered what kind of producer could manage a crew of 105 people in 6 different countries over a 5-year period, raise one million pounds through a pioneering crowd-funding model and pioneer the indie screenings model?
What kind of person beats the Guinness Book of Records for Global Premiere - the biggest live film event ever held, linked by satellite to more than 700 cinemas in 63 countries and watched by an audience of more than a million people?
Named “European Trailblazer of the Year” in 2010 at Mipcom in Cannes and featured by Harpers Bazaar magazine as a "21st century heroine", one of twenty "exceptional women changing the world for the better through the work they do", Kiwi film producer Lizzie Gillett has packed more into her 3 decades then most of us do in a lifetime.
Lizzie Gillett will be back in New Zealand in early March for a series of talks hosted by Women in Film and Television (WIFT) and supported by the New Zealand Film Commission. She will be talking about her film The Age of Stupid and how she made it without any industry backing.
Tickets will also be available at the door!
Please RSVP: email@example.com
This event is free to WIFT members!
