Part of Living Room 2012 - Free art and performances in the city.
New Zealand's premier BMX freestyle riders collaborate with nationally recognised choreographer MaryJane O'Reilly to perform a wheeled ballet to opera and Pacific Island drum beat. The result is a fearless work of acrobatic, kinetic beauty that will appeal to the whole family!
The BMX Crew is a group of New Zealand's top freestyle BMX riders. They tour to different schools/events around the country to promote the sport (and art) of BMX and to show people what is possible with training, courage and dedication. They comprise a complete range of riders that portray the different styles of BMX riding from technical tricks to smooth flow.
Living Room is an annual 10-day public art event, funded by Waitemata Local Board and supported by the British Council.
