The sun may be shining outside, but with the monsoon rains coming, the forecast looks refreshingly wet in the Tropical Forest.
The tropics regularly experience heavy downpours that ease the heat of summer, and this year for the first time, Otago’s very own Tropical Forest enters its own monsoon season!
Pull on a poncho and encounter an actual rainstorm in the Tropical Forest! Discover why and how much it rains in some of the wettest places on Earth, as well as the importance of rain for the forest climate and environment. Plus, discover what the butterflies do when it rains!
Every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday in the Tropical Forest.
Free with your Discovery World Tropical Forest admission.
