A 108-kilometre one-day event staged in Taumarunui, now in its 13th year. Competitors race as individuals or in teams over a four part course consisting of a 44km road cycle, 16km run, 22km paddle and a 26km mountain bike cycle. Based in Taumarunui, the course travels through some of the most scenic, untamed parts of the country and commences from the meeting place of the mighty Whanganui and Ongarue Rivers. The Whanganui River kayak and the Kururau hill range mountain bike are the focal points of the race. New this year is the ability to enter the event for single legs only and also a 10km walk.
