The Thames Music Group presents Phil Garland, one of the country's true musical treasures. A respected folklorist and musical balladeer who has recorded 17 albums, his mission over the past 30 years has been to gather and preserve for posterity the songs and stories of New Zealand. The goldfields were the source for many of those ballads, stories and songs.

This event is an official event of Thames Heritage Week.
