The workshop will be conducted by Mike Capper, one of New Zealand’s most qualified & experienced kettlebell trainers and is ideal for complete beginners along with Personal trainers looking to expand into kettlebell training.
Mike certified as an RKC instructor under Pavel Tsatsouline in Minnesota USA in 2007 and recently re-certified in 2010 (refer to www.dragondoor.com ). Only 8 New Zealanders have certified as a RKC instructor. Mike has also trained under Steve Cotter using traditional Russian Kettlebell Techniques and holds a Certified Kettlebell Trainer (CKT) certification from the International Kettlebell & Fitness Federation (IKFF).
This workshop will cover all the fundamental and foundation kettlebell movements that are covered in the 3 day Hardstyle RKC kettlebell instructor course.
I will demonstrate the techniques, break them down into easy drills so you can learn the correct technique and then supervise you performing the techniques. You also receive the DVD & pdf manual to reenforce what was taught in the workshop.
I also cover how to construct kettlebell workouts and how to schedule them to get fit, lose body fat and get in shape in record time
The workshop does not require any previous kettlebell training and is suitable for all beginners to intermediate kettlebell trainees.
I have found 99% of self taught kettlebell trainees (including Personal Trainers) have fundamental problems with their swing and other kettlebell techniques which this workshop will expose and correct.
Kettlebell training can be highly effective, however, there is a trend now of self taught personal trainers teaching kettlebells. Used incorrectly kettlebell training can injure the participant. Taught and performed safely & correctly kettlebells have been proven to be twice as effective a other exercise regimes.

- The Two Arm Swing
- The Turkish Getup
- The One Arm Swing
- Clean & Press
- Front Squat
- Overhead Snatch
- The Windmill
Please note, places are limited as small class sizes are a must for hand on teaching.
The workshop is a practical course and you will be taught and guided through the movements with appropriate instruction on how to use kettlebells safely and so you can reach your training goals. Kettlebells are supplied to use during the course
