The Kerikeri International Piano Competition is New Zealand’s oldest & most prestigious piano competition, offering aspiring concert pianists a chance to showcase and test their skills over 3 days of rigorous live performances.

The 2012 Competition will be adjudicated by Mikhail Solovei of Monash University, Melbourne.

Thursday 28th June 2012 - Adjudicator’s recital.
Friday 29th June - Round 1:
Each contestant performs a major classical sonata by Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven or Schubert.
Saturday 30th June - Round 2:
Each contestant performs a balanced 30 minute programme of music composed after 1685.
Sunday 1st July - Morning Masterclass:
The adjudicator’s masterclass, for all non-finalists. Open to the public.
Afternoon - The Final:
Each Finalist presents a balanced 45-minute programme of music composed after 1685.
