The second Bay of Plenty Ukulele festival will be held in Katikati War Memorial Hall on the Saturday. A ukulele strum-and-sing-along will open the afternoon's entertainment, followed by workshops for beginners and advanced players, a workshop on Cook Island strumming, an open mike session, and children's move-to-the-beat workshop.
The early evening concert at 5.30pm, which costs $5 for adults with school children free, will feature the Ukulele Allstarz Band and Cook Island Band from Auckland, Tangaroa Trio.
