Kaleidoscope Productions reprises their recent show which has a jungle theme and is set in the rapidly declining rainforest. Focusing on the environmental impact humans are having on the planet, the heroine of the story understands the plight of the animals and the rainforest. With nowhere left to go, group by group, different animals congregate in the last remaining rainforest to delay extinction. However, the empire-making, power-hungry Mr De Groote has designs on this rainforest -- to drill for oil with no regard for the consequences. What ensues is in typical Kaleidoscope fashion, with comedic kharmic comeuppance, a dash of existential angst and a rip-roaring, uplifting, everything-will-be-all-right finale!
Tickets available from the Oneroa i-Site (ph 372-1234).
