Introductory Yoga Course

Yoga Essence is a beautiful yoga centre located in the centre of Birkenhead. A professional environment where the teacher are highly qualified and in constant training for the teaching of general classes and yoga for therapeutics applications. the centre offer everything necessary for the classes such as mats, blankets, blocks etc. The environment for the practice of yoga.

The classes are structured to offer the students the foundations of Iyengar yoga, which is focused in alignment and precision. The students learn how to do the yoga poses step-by-step and are also encouraged to understand why things are done in certain ways in order to learn about their own body.

Totally new to yoga? This course is structured over 6 weeks during which students learn the basic yoga postures (asanas), with a primary focus on correct alignment, integrated with the awareness of breathing. Taught in a simple, step-by-step manner which allows students to learn in an encouraging and supportive environment. New-to-yoga students are encouraged to attend this course, which will give you confidence to attend any other class at the centre. Bookings essential.

Beginner Classes also available every weekday from 9:30am to 11am and Saturday 8:30am to 9:45am and 10am to 11:30am.

Classes are composed of yoga asanas (postures) done in integration with the breath, with brings a meditative stage to the mind.
