Int Level Belly Dance for Fun & Fitness

Try out Belly Dancing in your local area, get fit indoors & make new friends! Ideal for dancers who wish to learn & advance themselves (multi layering) with the art of using finger cymbals while dancing & try out double silk fans.

Vicki will teach you part of a 6 min dance in this 10 week course, using finger cymbals (zills) with a Pharaonic theme, plus the bonus of double Chinese silk fans (5 feet long), with a Spanish gypsy theme, 'all while dancing!'

Fun to do, amazing to watch. Stunning music, & there are always opportunities to participate in belly dance parties / shows with other dancers from around Auckland's North Shore & Hibiscus Coast. There is no class on 6th September; hall closed.

Bonus: if you are interested in Bollywood dancing, we get to practice the previously learnt Bollywood dance at the beginning of each class for 10 mins in preparation for performance. You can fast track in learning this dance also.

Vicki makes & designs her own costumes. She will assist students & help them make their own, & source out buying costumes on a budget via trademe & eBay, etc, & networking amongst other dance schools to swap, sell, & buy costumes & accessories. Vicki has a wide range of new & barely worn costumes for sale.

Canes are for sale for $25 each or you can buy them online. Veils also for sale from anything from $15 to $45 depending on the fabric (you can make your own).

Advance term fees work out to be $12 per class.
