A selection of inspirational documentary-style short films by young Kiwis, covering a range of topics from climate change to poverty, with local youth around New Zealand and within their communities making a difference. You are guaranteed to leave inspired.
We shall celebrate our often overlooked young filmmakers by sharing their stories in nationwide community screenings. Discussion about the films is encouraged and entry is by donation. This year's Roadtrip has taken these films to Nelson, Westport, Greymouth, Wanaka, Queenstown, Riverton, Invercargill, Stewart Island, Dunedin, Christchurch, Blenheim, Wellington, New Plymouth, Raglan, Auckland, Whangarei, Rotorua, Tauranga and Gisborne.
Inspiring Stories Charitable Trust have partnered with the New Zealand Film Commission for 2012, and as two young award-winning Kiwi filmmakers work with young people to teach them how to write, film and edit their own stories. They'll visit 23 towns and cities on this tour, working with hundreds of students as well as connecting with members from their communities.
This will be the final event for this year's Roadtrip.
Held in the Petone Public Library Community Room.
