Neela, an Indian immigrant has been living alone in New Zealand for eight years but she hasn’t found the right man. Neela joins dating agency Indian Dating Ltd in the hope she may find Mr Right, who she eventually finds after enduring some truly questionable characters.
Howeve,r months of bliss with her new love are put in a spin when her conservative father (who knows nothing about Neela's new relationship) turns up at Neela's doorstep for a surprise visit.
