HRV Cup Twenty20 Cricket - Knights vs Firebirds

New Years is always a party at the Mount, but there is plenty of action happening after the last day of 2011 too. Your Yahoo! NZ Northern Knights are taking on the Wellington Firebirds at Blake Park, Mount Maunganui in the first week of 2012 and it will be an amazing game.

Family friendly atmosphere with supervised kids area including bouncy castles, BYO picnics are encouraged (note this is not BYO alcohol - that can only be purchased at the ground) and plenty of cricket action happening on the field.

Wellington might be bringing in Murali from Sri Lanka, but we've got plenty of our own stars on display including our Black Caps Dan Vettori, Tim Southee, Kane Williamson, Daniel Flynn, Trent Boult and BJ Watling plus veterans of the ND team Joey Yovich, Graeme Aldridge and Peter McGlashan.

Gates open at 2.30pm so get in early to grab your spot on the grassy banks of this fantastic cricket ground.
