The Chinese folklore classic retold!
This show is brought to you by the Performing Arts Workshop (PAW), a voluntary organization for everyday people to experience the joys of performing arts. We are a non-profit organization supported by numerous individuals and organizations.
Fifth year in its running, the former Brighter Future Musical has been replaced by this small-scaled pilot project to push through the boundaries of cultures.
A modern comic adaptation of the Chinese legendary folktale, How She Flew to the Moon loosely integrates classics Chang Er Ben Yue, Journey to the West and Hou Yi She Ri into a fun filled celebration of dance, music, singing and drama! Find out how Chang Er, a kind and caring young woman manages to find love amidst the many hardships and chaos bestowed on her village. Forget any version of the tale you’ve heard and join us for a night we promise you won’t forget!
