Join the Auckland Baptist Tramping Club for a a full-day tramp, taking in the section of the Edmund Hillary Trail between Karekare and Whatipu. There is the choice of a 6-7 hour tramp from Karekare to Whatipu or vice versa, and an easier 3-4 hour tramp from Karekare over the hills to Pararaha Stream and back along the coast. The longer tramp starts at 9am and the shorter tramp begins at 12 midday. Transport can be arranged from central Auckland. Pleae bring day pack, boots - strong footwear, lunch - snacks, drink, wet weather gear.
