The hugely successful annual Whangaparaoa Rotary Soap Box Derby and Family Fun day. Exhilarating soap box derby racing, 60km an hour 16cm off the ground...

Racing heats kick off around 10am until approximately 3pm.

There's also a 30 stall market, hot rod cars on display, go karting exhibition races, carnival rides and food vendors so this is always a day for all the family, whether they are supporting a racer or not.

No admission to attend, parking available at Whangaparaoa College (5 minute down hill walk to the venue)

Location is Brightside Road, outside the leisure centre, Stanmore Bay, Whangaparaoa.
