Hemi MacGregor has created a dynamic art practice that mixes issues of contemporary youth culture with Maori concepts of knowledge, time and identity. This mini retrospective spans nearly 15 years of work featuring painting, sculpture and mixed media.
Hemi was a tutor on NorthTec's visual arts programme prior to taking a teaching job at Massey University in Wellington. This is a great opportunity to see his work again this far north.
