Judgement Day in Te Puke!
Pam Chapman, Director of the comedy Heaven Help Us is excited to report that the author of this comedy, Tim Hambleton, respected Dunedin playwright and police prosecutor, has already booked tickets for himself and his family for opening night!
“Heaven Help Us” launches its season with a gala evening on Wednesday 4th July, and Tim and his family will be in the audience!
Hosted by Te Puke Repertory Society, Tim and his family will dine at Molly O’Connors Irish Bar. The theme of the menu is “Judgement Day”.
Director Pam Chapman is delighted with rehearsal progress for the play and her dedicated cast.
Tim Hambleton’s comedy is original and intriguing - it combines all the pearly gates jokes you’ve ever heard, with satire on the politics and attitudes of contemporary New Zealand.
Tim acknowledges that there is always a sense of trepidation on handing his play to others to interpret, but thoroughly enjoys hearing someone laugh at something he has written. He has told Pam how much he is looking forward to being a part of the gala event on opening night.
Tickets from Paper Plus in Te Puke.
