Hawke's Bay Today - Country 2 Coast Family Walk and Run

The Hawke's Bay Today Country 2 Coast is a non-competitive family fun event that utilises the Rotary Pathways between River Road, Havelock North and the Clifton Bay Café. Participants can enter for a 7k or 17k walk or run. There are two start points and the start times are set out below. The event will be timed, but it is not a race, and there will be spot prizes only.

17k event:
Riverlands Car Park, River Road, Havelock North. Walkers start at 8am, runners start at 9am.

7k event:
Domain Road, Haumoana. Walkers start at 9:30am, runners start at 10am.

The approximate walking time required to travel the full 17km is 2.5 - 3 hours. The finish is at Clifton Bay, opposite the Café. The course will be marshalled and security will be provided at the River Road and Domain Road parking areas.

Refreshment points:
There will be a number of water-stops and portable toilets. These will be located at the start points at Riverlands and Domain Road car parks, Black Bridge and at the finish. Food and drink will be available for purchase at the finish area.

Bus transport:
Buses will depart from Clifton Bay at the conclusion of the prize-giving to transport entrants who wish to leave their cars at the Domain Road and River Road start points. Bus transport will need to be booked in advance with your registration and will cost $3 per person.

Prize-giving:
All prizes will be spot prizes. Prize-giving of approximately 6 major prizes only will be at 12 midday, with all other spot prizes being separately drawn and available for collection after the event. The prize-giving event is expected to take about 15 minutes.
