Hastings Blossom Parade 2012

The annual Hastings Blossom Parade is a truly iconic Hawke's Bay event. It welcomes the arrival of spring and the wonderful horticultural and viticultural Hawke's Bay produce that comes with it. But above all the Blossom Parade celebrates people - who they are, where they live and what they do for work and leisure.

The annual Blossom Parade first took place in 1950 and is eagerly awaiting by the entire community with lots of fun, music and festivities and very much a part of the region's identity.

With more than a thousand people taking part, the Parade is a multicultural, community-based celebration. It starts at 1pm and lasts about 90 minutes. But parking can be difficult, so make sure you arrive early.
