Hanussen - the Palace of Burlesque

Welcome to 1920s Berlin.

The Loons Circus Theatre Company, makers of the hit show 'The Butler', return with their follow up feast of sultry sexiness with 'Hanussen - The Palace of Burlesque' complete with catwalk, extravagant lighting, live band and visual effects.

People may remember Berlin Burlesque from 2010 - this show is now bigger, slicker and more amazing with the addition of a four-piece live band. So we felt it deserved a new name that better reflects the story and spectacle of the show.

Mentalist, entrepreneur, and lover of women Erik Jan Hanussen is the inspiration for the compelling storyline which is infused with astonishing circus skills, engaging theatre, and topped off with some fantastic live music.
Berlin Burlesque is a must-see show, coming to you fresh from sell-out seasons in the Nelson and Tauranga Arts Festivals 2011.

Nudity and offensive material may be present, so please come with an open mind (this an R16 event).

Tickets are available to purchase now through our new online booking and payment system:

•Tables of four seating at the front of the theatre $180 (works out to be $45pp)
•Adults (Auditorium seating) $39
•Students (Auditorium seating) $25
•Group bookings 10+ (Auditorium Seating) $33 pp

Purchases will incur a small booking fee per ticket.

Held in Jack Mann Auditorium, University of Canterbury.

Performances 4th, 5th, 6th, and 11th, 12th, 13th, 14th January 2012 at 8pm. Doors open 7pm with a selection of food and drink available.

And a matinee performance at 3pm on Sat 7th Jan (no evening show this night), Doors open 2:30pm.
