This is your opportunity to take part in the first Gran Fondo stage in New Zealand as part of the UCI International Men's New Zealand Cycle Classic.

The Mitre 10 Mega Gran Fondo will take place in the morning of stage four in the 2012 NZ Cycle Classic, pro riders will do the same stage in the afternoon. This is ideal for individuals or social, corporate and sporting teams looking for a ride with a difference.

The challenge is open to everyone over 15 years of age entering as a individual or a team.

Prizes: Over $3000 of spot prizes.

Mitre 10 Mega Open 100km ride
The Mitre 10 Mega Gran Fondo will start from Cambridge Avenue - Ashhurst. Riders will travel north via Pohangina Rd towards Raumai, Valley Road and Taonui Rd towards Colyton, Colyton Rd to the start/finish at Ashhurst. Riders to complete two more laps.

Unique Realty 68km ride - start time 9:15am
Same route as Open 100 ride but riders will complete only two laps of circuit.

Sports Manawatu 34km ride - start time 9:30am
Same route as Open 100 ride but riders will complete only one lap of circuit.

Teams consist of four riders per team. All riders to complete the same distance - no relay event. The combined time of the first three riders will decide the winning team.
