Photographs by Allan McDonald, Solomon Mortimer, Darren Glass and Edith Amituanai and painting by Johanna Pegler.
An image of a man in checked shirt and woman in orange sundress passing by the 1901 Toomath's Building on Wellington's Ghuznee St; an image of Mt Taranaki at 6.30am taken from Ruapehu; a photograph of the interior of a family home in Samoa adorned with 21st keys and a beaded curtain; a watercolour of one Norfolk Pine, one phoenix palm and a cluster of young Pohutukawas on Kauritutahi Island off Awhitu Peninsula, that 'up close, looks like the bow of a ship sailing in or drifting away'.
All these works observe the wonder of places that surround us, but that are often passed by.
