All this week, Conservation Volunteers NZ will be working in different Auckland parks/reserves

Waiatarua Reserve is a unique wetland area that holds New Zealand’s biggest urban wetland restoration project.

This area was once part of a freshwater lake, which was denied its source by the lava flows from the Maungarei (Mt Wellington) eruptions 9000 years ago.

We’ll help this outstanding area, carrying out seed collection, weed identification and management.

Booking essential - to register, please contact Fiona on 0800 56 76 86 or email info@conservationvolunteers.co.nz

Transport is provided from the Conservation Volunteers Offices in Mt Eden.
