The Whau River was once surrounded by lush native bush, a sanctuary for native birds and wildlife.
The river was also used as a transport route to Manukau Harbour by Maori.
Help the Friends of the Whau with their vision to clean up the river and carry out native plant care along its banks.
Booking essential - to register, please contact Fiona on 0800 56 76 86 or email info@conservationvolunteers.co.nz
Transport is provided from the Conservation Volunteers Offices in Mt Eden.
