All this week, Conservation Volunteers NZ will be working in different Auckland parks/reserves.

Oakley Creek creates an important wildlife corridor which reaches all the way from the Manukau harbour to the Waitemata.

Even though it’s located in the middle of Auckland, it’s a lovely stroll through native bush along paths and wooden bridges. You’re walking through history, the Maori used the creek to reach inland from the inlet and there are many landing sites and signs of settlement along the banks.

It is also the site of Auckland City's only natural waterfall! We'll be assisting the Friends of Oakley Creek with this important restoration project.

Booking essential - to register, please contact Fiona on 0800 56 76 86 or email info@conservationvolunteers.co.nz

Transport is provided from the Conservation Volunteers Offices in Mt Eden.
