1 day introductory workshop in the art of making stunning jewellery pieces using your microwave!
You’ll be falling over yourself to make more once you’ve been to this fused glass jewellery making course!
The good news is that not only will you be able to take home the 2 or 3 pendants you have created on the day, you can also purchase all the materials used in the course straight away so you can practice your new techniques safely, easily and affordably - at home! That’s because in this glass fusing course we don’t use a traditional kiln - we use a microwave instead - just like the one you have at home!
Learn the basics and some advanced fusing techniques at the course and you can go on to create your own pendants, earrings, rings, bracelets, cufflinks, brooches and more.
What will we cover?
- Safety practices around glass fusing;
- The theory of glass and glass fusing;
- How to cut glass;
- Designing your piece of jewellery;
- Firing it in the microwave;
- Turning your artwork into a gorgeous piece of finished jewellery.
Once you have completed this workshop you’ll be able to come along and learn more techniques at our advanced workshops. These are discounted too if you purchase a glass jewellery making kit at your introductory workshop.
Sounds like fun? Come along and see for yourself! Talk a friend into coming with you!
Please bring a plate of finger food for a shared lunch. Morning and afternoon tea will be provided. Workshop sizes are limited, so please book early to avoid disappointment.
