Wondering what to do this school holidays? Stardome can entertain you rain or shine with a fun and educational astronomy show. This summer the theme is 'Fun with the Sun,' so we’ll be learning all about the Sun and the massive amount of energy it releases.
The fitting feature planetarium show is ‘Heart of the Sun’. Go right inside a living star to see our Sun as you never have before! Breathtaking images reveal the oldest mysteries of this star.
After the show, the education team will take you on a guided tour of the night sky and show you how to find the brightest stars and planets.
Children and adults will then get creative with educational arts and crafts activities. Model water and air rocket launch demonstration will take place afterward (weather permitting).
Show includes:
Planetarium show: ‘Heart of the Sun'
Night sky presentation in the planetarium
Arts & crafts activities in the Space Room
Model rocket launching in the park outside (weather permitting)
Dates: Weekdays 16-27 January
Times: 10am and 1pm each weekday
Running time: 1.5 hours
Suits: children 5-12 years
