What do brave fire fighters and fearless search and rescue teams have in common? They know their stuff when it comes to fire safety.
MOTAT are partnering with the NZ Fire Service and Civil Defence for Fire and Rescue Day, a brand new event that will aim to get you and your family fire wise like a true hero.
A whole day of fun, kids will be able to climb on board a working fire engine manned with real firefighters, race each other in putting on different fire uniforms, chat to NZ Fire Service mascots Flint and Amber and even take a ride on MOTAT’s little red fire engine Little Flick!
There will also be great activities to teach kids how to react in real emergency situations. From watching a demonstrated kitchen fire take place and learning how to contain the fire to feeling their way out of the Tactile Dome without being able to see, kids will not only have a great time at Fire and Rescue Day but will leave fire wise too.
You can enjoy our Fire and Rescue event free with normal admission costs to MOTAT.
