In this exciting new collaboration between the exuberant jazz violinist and composer Fiona Pears and the talented gypsy jazz guitar duo La Petite Manouche, audiences will be treated to a fiery melting pot of gypsy jazz, tangos and Latin music mixed in with breathtaking ballads written from the 1930s, through to some of Fiona’s latest passionate compositions.
‘Electrifying’ – ‘extraordinarily animated’–‘featuring rare and natural charisma’…
These are words used to describe Fiona Pears, the highly talented violinist and composer from Christchurch.
Personal highlights include appearing at Ronnie Scott’s world famous jazz club in London and performing her own compositions and arrangements with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic.
Fiona has released five CDs and two DVDs to date. Her latest CD Feeling was released a few months ago and features mostly her own compositions alongside passionate gypsy jazz.
Translated roughly as “the little gypsy” La Petite Manouche is a guitar duo with influences of gypsy and modern jazz, creating a unique fusion of music.
Pre-sale from Everyman during September. Door sales if available.
