Film lovers rejoice! The movies are back for another year of starlight viewing in the wondrous nighttime surrounds of the Dell at the Wellington Botanical Gardens.

Four films will be screening for free in late January 2012.

Bring your picnic, your rugs and dine in style in the beautiful outdoor setting while watching a top-notch collection of films selected for your viewing pleasure by Chris Morley-Hall of the Cuba St Carnival.

There's something for everyone in this years line up. You might just have to come to all four! Movies screen at dusk each night, approx 8pm.

Wednesday 18 January - Exit Through The Gift Shop
The documentary which gazumped the art world Exit Through the Gift Shop has led to many a dinner party discussion about its potential as a prankumentary. The film follows an eccentric Frenchman on a mission to film and befriend the notoriously camera shy graffiti artist Banksy who them turns the camera on his interogator. Come along and decide for yourself if this is the real deal.

Thursday 19 January - Bill Cunningham New York
A moving portrait of Bill Cunningham - cultural anthropologist, fashion photographer, bike rider, New Yorker. A documentary for all lovers of fashion and fine film making. "This movie made me happy every moment I was watching it." - Robert Ebert.

Wednesday 25 January - Kaikohe Demolition
Kiwi film maker Florian Habicht’s documentary will have you in stitches as he captures the gracefulness and poetry of demolition derby. A roll call of unique kiwi characters from Kaikohe talk the viewer through their derby obsession providing an unforgettable insight into life in New Zealand. Unmissable.

Thursday 26 January- Labyrinth
What can you say about this iconic 1986 fantasy film directed by Jim Henson, starring a young Jennifer Connelly and David Bowie? Countless flights of fancy were created on these 101 minutes for children of the 80s. Bring your kids, bring your mother, bring yourselves.

Films by Starlight - Perfect for a special date night (which female doesn’t want to see Labyrinth another time?) or bring your friends and family and share the cinematic experience with a group.

Just like during the ASB Gardens Magic series, it's hard to get parking during this time in the area, so it's recommended that people walk or get a bus if they can. The number 3 bus goes straight to the Glenmore Street entrance.

Film screenings start at 8:30pm, so bring a picnic and a blanket and come along.

Please note, screenings are weather dependent - any weather cancellations will be announced on facebook and at the location on the day.
