Wells New Plymouth Half Ironman

A sensational new half ironman event based at Port Taranaki. The inaugural event this year received rave reviews by officials and competitors. Next years event will double as an age group secondary selection race for the world age group champs in Spain. The event has relay teams and individuals and next year will be capped.
The day also has a half marathon and 10km walk and run along New Plymouth's world-class seaside walkway.

Great to meet you on the weekend, and thank you to you and your team for putting on such an awesome event.
I am sure this event will become a definite 'must do' in the NZ tri season.

Just a quick email to thank you for the great race yesterday. It would have to be the best first time event I have done. It was run faultlessly and I can only see this event growing.
A 2 lap swim is great for spectators and athletes, the bike course is very honest and testing and the run through town and on the coastal walk is fantastic.
Although my result was not quite what is was hoping for I was happy considering how I was feeling and I hope to be back next year for another shot.
