Erewhon Station Horse Sale & Farm Open Day

Come to Erewhon for a great day in the High Country for our 4th horse sale and station open day.

13 horses for sale including: 1 registered Clydesdale yearling filly, 1 unregistered Clydesdale mare (broken to harness), 10 quarter draught unbroken horses (8 yearlings, 2 four year olds) and 1 broken in quarter draught broodmare (out of work & scanned infoal to Clydesdale).

Open day includes rides on a wagon pulled by some of the farm's Clydesdales, led-rein saddle rides and a display of the 8 or 10 horse team working ground. Have a look around the historic buildings & equipment as well as the accommodation available to rent. Clydesdale & Clyde Cross mares with foals at foot and other young stock will be in adjacent paddocks for viewing.

The road to Erewhon is a scenic drive into the mountains & Lord of the Rings country past high country rivers and lakes.

Travelling times:
From Christchurch: two hours
From Ashburton: one hour twenty minutes
From Mt Somers: 50 minutes
